Meta Datacenter Robotics

At Meta IDCR, we described ourselves as an “applied robotics” team, because everything we did was aimed at solving real problems in support of some of the most numerous and largest datacenters in the world.

I managed the team’s lab spaces, totaling over 15,000 square feet, and housing a team of around 20 employees. After acquainting myself with the needs of the team, I overhauled all lab spaces, optimizing for utility and efficiency, and using only 10% of the allotted budget. My goal at first was to create good systems, and then to maintain and improve them continuously.

On a daily basis, my role entailed design and build for complex electromechanical systems, for testing, prototyping and deployment purposes.

I worked with engineering to iterate robot designs, optimizing for DFM/A, and I collaborated on the creation of a PRD template with Product, Engineering, and internal customer teams.
